Throughout the year, Jay has shown impressive commitment to our radio station. Jay regularly presents and produces his own radio show to a high standard, and has proved himself as a great student radio presenter on many occasions. We were very pleased to offer Jay a weekly show during our annual live FM broadcast across the county, and his show Mellow Mondays became a highlight of our Monday programming. On multiple occasions, Jay has represented Nerve by DJing live at our SU venue, joining the team of DJs who covered the after party for the prestigious SU Activities Awards at the O2 Academy, and even representing our station individually at the SU Community Awards by offering his DJ services. Jay has consistently demonstrated professionalism and commitment, and has proven himself a very reliable member of the team. He is an asset to our station, and I hope this is the first of many years in which Jay is a part of Nerve Radio.

“I always tune into Mellow Mondays due to Jay's entertaining way of presenting the show; he may be a man and not a bird but he's certainly spread his wings in this area.”

'Starchy' Archie Brooks-Watson, presenter at Insanity Radio FM

"I always tune in to Mellow Mondays when I get the chance, the music is great and hearing Jay repeat 'oh jeez' never gets old."

"As mentioned in the title, Jay's music is a great way to Mellow down at the start of a hardworking week. Not only does he pick the best songs, but overall we can see Jay learning and improving quickly session after session. Jay is spreading his wings like the proud Segel he aims to be."

Camille Lauras

"As a new presenter at Nerve, Jay's thrown himself right in over the last year. His regular Mellow Monday show is a hit amongst listeners and the rest of the team, he's also lent his DJing skills to out Lollipop nights on a few occasions. Jay also joined us on 87.9FM, broadcasting to the whole of Dorset for 2 weeks, pulling the late shift from 12-2am. Jay is incredibly reliable with great presenting/DJing skills and a passion for radio, performing arts and more!"
